Last Sunday, April 15, was JP Trees first planting this year. One could say it was our kickoff for the Earthworks Setback Trees Project. Not even the rain could stop us! We planted five trees in front yards and are ready to do much more with your help. Each volunteer plays a very important role in this project.

These are our next few planting days:
Saturday, April 21 (9-12, then lunch)
Saturday, May 12 (9-12, lunch, 1-4)
Saturday, May 19 (9-12, lunch, 1-4)

If you are available for one or more shifts, please email morgan.mihok@gmail.com with the date(s) and time(s). And if you do not know how to plant, well not to fret. We'll pair you up with someone who does know and you can learn!

We will meet at 9am at the Central Congregational Church on the corner of Seaverns and Elm, close to Green Street T.

And lastly, if you are familiar with planting trees, the Friends of Nira Rock can also use your help. On Friday, April 27 and Saturday, April 28 from 9-2, they will need experienced tree planters to lead small groups of volunteers. Nira Rock is an urban wild at the end of Nira Street, off Day Street in Hyde Square.

Thanks again for reading and any time you are able to spare for the trees!
